Very Embarrassing Trip.

Yesterday saw the ultimate humiliation    A trip to that dreaded place where they poke you, stab you and seem to be trained in the art of forcing disgusting pills down your throat. Put up a pretty good fight this time though, and nearly won!! Two holding me down, it wasn't an even contest, but I think I did enough damage to the one in the white coat so that he knows not to mess with me again!

The worst part is that I c an usually tell when a visit there is due, so I run away or hide under the bed. Those staff of mine usually give it away by acting very strangely and friendly. But yesterday I was grabbed from my slumber and after a little affectionate tickle, was bundled into a wicker prison, taken in the howling wind and rain and into a big steel thing that bumped a lot. Despite my wails, I was incarcerated for almost 30 minutes (210 cat minutes!!)

To top it all off, I was stabbed in the neck, bundled back in the prison and generally treated in a most embarrassing way. There was also a BIG dog there but I scowled menacingly at him and he knew to stay away.

I got back to my house, and had to reorient myself and get my bearings. I looked in every room until I realised I was back in my domain.

All in all, a horrid day!

Back to normal (whatever that means).

I'm still a little drugged up from the 42 bags of catnip given to me by my very generous adoring Xanga fans. Thank you one and all. They seem to have removed all the silly trees and balloons that were unnerving me in the house, and things are back to normal.

It suddenly occured to me how busy humans get. They move so fast, it makes me dizzy. I sometimes have to lower myself to leg rubbing and loud miaowing to get some food. And they always seem to be talking into some strange object that looks a bit like a dog's bone, but while they were out I jumped onto the worktop and sniffed it. It didn't smell at all doggy. Good. Because if a dog moves in, I move out.

Merry Christmas!

Christmas Trees 005 Human view

 A cat's perspective

Merry Christmas everyone!

It looks like the horrible work being done on the floor of one of my bedrooms has come to an end thank goodness.

I don't know what the point of it was, but it involved a lot of noise, sounding like uncomfortable scraping, and it not only caused awful noise, but lots of dust to fly around, which really irritates my eyes and nose, and gets in my fur, which I find most unpleasant.

I am starting to see odd clues around the house that the strange time of year is approaching. There is a candle with numbers on it, and people seem to be writing lots of cards. Perhaps that strange tree might make an appearance in the next couple of weeks, I'll have to wait and see.

One thing is for sure, I don't like this weather much.
